Processing of Personal Data

Dear Guests,

We are delighted that you have chosen our guesthouse for your vacation and relaxation.

The controller of personal data, i.e., the person who determines the purpose and means of processing your personal data, is Martina Ševčíková.

The contact details for the person responsible for personal data protection are: slnecnydomujazera@gmail.com, phone number: +420 733 562 605.

And now, regarding the purpose for which we process personal data and what personal data we process:

We process your personal data for the purpose of concluding and properly fulfilling the obligations arising from the accommodation contract concluded between you, as guests, and the accommodation provider. We obtain this personal data directly from you, either by phone or via email when making reservations. In order to provide our services to you, we need to know your identification details (first name, last name, date of birth, permanent address, ID number) and contact details (phone number, email address, mailing address, or other). If you provide us with your personal data and subsequently no contract is concluded and no actual accommodation takes place, we will no longer retain your personal data. We process your personal data only for the necessary period and for the purpose of exercising our rights and fulfilling our obligations, and we do not process any other personal data that we do not absolutely need.

We will retain and process the personal data listed above not only for the duration of your stay but also until the end of the complaint period or the period during which any claims related to the services provided may be asserted or enforced.

While the provision of personal data is entirely voluntary, it is also a condition for concluding a contract for accommodation and our related services—without your personal data, we cannot conclude the contract nor provide you with accommodation. At the same time, however, we would like to inform you that if you provide such personal data, we will not process it for any purpose other than that described above.

Under no circumstances will we transfer your personal data outside the EU or to any international organization, nor do we plan to do so in the future.

As a data subject—that is, the natural person whose personal data is being processed—you naturally have a number of rights regarding your personal data, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to exercise them. These rights include:

  1. The right to access your personal data – this means you have the right to request that we provide you with information about what personal data we process about you.
  2. The right to rectification of personal data – this means you have the right to ensure that the personal data we process for the purposes mentioned above is accurate, up-to-date, and complete. If you find that this is not the case, please request that it be corrected or updated—we will rectify the situation immediately!
  3. Right to erasure (also known as the right to be forgotten) – this means that we are obligated to erase your data if we process personal data for a period longer than specified above, or if we do not have a valid legal basis for such processing. We also inform you that we cannot delete the data in cases where processing is carried out based on the performance of a contract or a legal obligation, even if you request it—in such a case, we will inform you of this within one month, stating the reason.
  4. Right to request restriction of processing – this means that you have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data if you contest the accuracy of your personal data, or if the processing of personal data is unlawful and has not yet been erased, or you have objected to the processing—in which case we will impose a restriction that will remain in effect until the legitimacy of your objection is assessed.
  5. Right to object – this means that you are entitled to object in cases where processing is carried out on the basis of a legitimate interest. If you object in connection with the sending of marketing communications, we will always comply. Unless we demonstrate that our legitimate grounds for processing your personal data override your interests, rights, and freedoms, we will no longer process your personal data.
  6. Right to withdraw consent to processing – this means that you are entitled to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time in cases where your consent is required (e.g., sending commercial communications).
  7. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – this means that if we fail to act for more than one month, you are entitled to contact the supervisory authority, which is the Office for Personal Data Protection, and lodge a complaint.

  1. You may exercise all of the rights described above electronically; however, we must verify that it is indeed you. In such a case, you may send your request to the email address slnecnydomujazera@gmail.com and include a valid electronic signature in the email, which serves as sufficient proof of the applicant’s identity for us.

In the event that we are not 100% certain of your identity, we are entitled (and, after all, to maintain the highest level of protection, we are also obligated) to ask you to provide additional information to confirm your identity.
