Golf in the Area

Golf Green Resort Hrubá Borša, a 27-hole resort. Currently, an 18-hole championship course (par 72) and a 9-hole public course (par 28) are available. The 18-hole championship course at Green Resort Hrubá Borša opened on August 10, 2014.

Most of the golf course in Hrubá Borša is situated on a typical South Slovakian plain. The fairways, however, are beautifully shaped into interesting patterns, interspersed with bunkers and water hazards. The fairways and greens were recently redesigned by the internationally renowned shaper, Englishman Chris Horn. The charm and appeal of the Golf Green Resort Hrubá Borša golf course are enhanced by a floodplain forest, in the middle of which eight holes are located, fully or partially integrated into the course, with striking, predominantly deciduous trees. The same applies to the water. Lakes border half of the eighteen fairways, including the island green on the 16th hole.

The course is "fair play" with a minimum of tall rough. Golfers are not penalized for playing well. With a total length of 6,661 meters and numerous natural obstacles, the golf course creates favorable conditions for an interesting and challenging game for experienced players. The perfect design of the fairways contrasts with a large number of bunkers filled with white sand. Some of them stretch spectacularly into the lakes, creating the impression of a beach. Also of interest are the drop bunkers (large sandy areas) on holes 3, 4, 15, and 17, which evoke the feel of a North American desert.

The aim is to give both skilled players and beginners the opportunity to fully enjoy their game at Green Resort Hrubá Borša. Players can also take advantage of the 9-hole public course (PAR 28) public, which, due to its many natural and man-made hazards, is a great challenge for both beginners and advanced players (971 m from the yellow tees and 779 m from the red tees). For training and practice, you can also use the indoor, lighted driving range, putting green covering 800 m² and chipping area covering 2,500 m² as well as a practice bunker.
