Tips for Day Trips

The village of Hrubá Borša boasts the most beautiful golf course in all of Slovakia, but even if you don’t play golf, you’re sure to find plenty of other things to do:

• We also recommend that non-golfers visit the golf club in Borša; they have a lovely outdoor seating area with a view of the course and the lake. Enjoying a coffee or beer there is pure bliss :) They serve food there too!
• Right in Borš, you can go horseback riding (Danube Polo Club).
• Badminton, tennis, and fitness in Borš (Greenfit).
• Beekeeping Museum in Králová pri Senci.
• During the warmer months, we recommend visiting Slnečná Jazera (8 min. by car); public transportation is also available (line 659). You can look forward to swimming and water attractions right by the lakes or a small train that circles the entire lakes. We recommend visiting both sides of the lakes; you’ll find plenty of restaurants and playgrounds. In the winter, there’s no shortage of wellness facilities and water parks.
• Water mills in Jelce, Tomášov, and Kolárovo.
• Tiger Zoo in Kostolná pri Dunaji. Tigers within arm's reach. (3 min. by car)
• Slovenský Grob (20 min. by car) is the kingdom of roast GOOSE. For goose feasts, it’s the only place to go.
• Zlaté Piesky - Do you love adrenaline? Try WAKEBOARDING, lessons with an instructor are also available.
• Bratislava - a beautiful historic center and, of course, the capital’s landmark, Bratislava Castle (within a 30-minute drive). 
• UFO - another landmark of Bratislava. UFO is not only a restaurant with a view of the entire city, but you can also go up just for the view.
